Hi Friends,

For the 4th year in a row, I'm aiming to raise 1K in support of AIDS Walk LA. I'm so grateful for your help year after year to help me achieve my goal for this important cause!

These are some of the reasons I'm walking (and hope you will join me):

1. AIDS is still an epidemic - More than 60,000 people in L.A. County are living with HIV, and new infections occur every day. I was shocked when I realized how many new infections occur, and how terrible education is in some of our communities.

2. The Trump Administration has no HIV/AIDS strategy - The President has dismantled both the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and The Office of National AIDS Policy, and has abandoned the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. The HIV/AIDS community needs all the help they can get from us.

3. The money raised will go to support APLA Health as well as 20 other L.A. County HIV service organizations. It will bring vital medical care, counseling, housing services and more directly to those who need it most. It will also provide vital prevention work to stop new infections. See reasons number 1 & 2 on why this is so critical!

And in case you're wondering how much your donation matters, here are a few examples of what your donations will be able to provide:

1. $10 - A week of groceries
2. $25 - 3 HIV test kits / counseling services
3. $50 - 15 bags of groceries
4. $100 - 100 safe sex kits
5. $500 - 35 transit passes for patients to get to medical treatment
6. $1000 - 20 Dental exams for patients

Thank you so much for your donation!
